A woman wrote a note to say a middle aged man could stay in her apartment indefinitely. There is no express term.    There is no rent. Does he have a lease? Is he a tenant? He is not a lessee. He is not a tenant. He does not have a lease.  He has, at best, a license and can be removed from the premises at any time; at the will of the owner.   He has no recourse to any Landlord and Tenant Act legislation since he is not a tenant.  He does not have a lease as a lease is a rent payable at a term of one week or one month on agreement.  He is not related.
