Under vicarious liability in tort or contractual matters, we understand obligations between master and servant; employer and employee.  The Master is obligated to his contracts and the various contractual liabilities. He is also obligated under tort law in the event that there is tortious liability.  His employees and agents are servants.  They carry out duties and even if they assign tasks to others. they remain liable to the Master contractor or employer as servants and agents.  If a duty is not carried out under assignment, the agents and servants are fully liable.  The agents and servants may kill the persons to whom they assigned a duty but they remain liable to the master or employee who gave them the direction; fully liable.
